SCP-5699 You Are Not Alone.

Warning discussions of suicide.

It has been a rough year for you, from the death of your husband to the emptiness that your home emanates. It has been a shitty year and all you do is drown your sorrows in bottles of liquor. Now you are being threatened with job loss if you don't get your act together. You had the sense of dread and the feeling of hopelessness. Then the thoughts begin to overwhelm you, "No one would miss me if I were gone." "There's no point in living." as these thoughts get stronger and stronger you submit to the darkness and make a plan to end your life. Then from the corner of your eye you see a grim reaper figure standing just outside your vision. The figure appears to be writing something in the fogged mirror. You turn to see nothing, but you notice writing on the mirror. "You held my hand and fanned my cheek as the monitor dipped and swooned. You gripped my hand, holding onto my wedding ring as the beep grew loud, and would gently stroke my arm, as the beeps grew silent." At that moment you realized that suicide is not the best option, and have a sense of hope.

SCP-5699 is a humanoid entity that resembles the grim reaper with exception to the face appearing to be a mirror. SCP-5699 is usually spotted near those attempting to commit suicide. Before the person attempts suicide a message of encouragement and pleasant memories of that person will appear on any reflective surfaces. Most interactions with SCP-5699 normally end with the person backing down from their suicide attempt with having the sensation of hope and joy. The Foundation has decided to let this entity free since the entity has a positive effect on the general population.
